Educators

Dear Educators,
I hope you enjoy reading Jumping Jenny with your class. The book has a number of curricular hooks that lend themselves to all kinds of extension activities. Depending on where you want to focus, you can use the book as a jumping off point for lessons on the importance of staying active to stay healthy, service learning, arts and crafts, reading and writing, multiple intelligences, etc. I have included a number of extension activities to get you started, and will continue to add to them, but would love to include your ideas as well. There is also a Fun Stuff section on the site that has a Kid’s Page with coloring pages, dress-up dolls, word puzzles and lots more, that you can use with your class after reading the book.
Thanks very much,
Ellen
